 August 2025 at ATA Lodge was full of great guests, and great fishing!   In this fishing report we will be "telling the story" of what happened here at ATA Lodge mostly pictorially with a few words scattered through out this blog post.  So keep on scrolling through these images of what August 2025 looked like at ATA Lodge and you will also be able to read the whole narrative.  The pictures will not be organized as in past fishing reports as per species, or subject matter.   We have decided to just upload most of them as things happened through out the month.  We hope you enjoy vicariously the visual journey through the whole month of August here on...

  For many "in the know", June is the best time to come to Southwest Alaska and target, big, hard fighting Leopard Rainbow Trout on the upper section of the Alagnak Wild and Scenic River.  It may be a bold statement, but we stand behind it at ATA Lodge, that our home waters, offer some of the most exciting fishing opportunities to catch the most and largest average size rainbow trout, at this time of the season in Alaska! Don't get me wrong, you can come up to other rivers in Alaska at other times of the season and catch bigger trout (even on our river).  But in terms of numbers of fish and average size of trout, June at...

Bent Rods and Tight Lines! I'd have to say that this may well have been our best season ever in many different ways!  But I mention this related to the fishing in particular!  We didn't have a bad or slow week all season long!

There's no other way to say it....Fishing in June and July at ATA Lodge this season in 2024, was EPIC!  

As the sun sets on the 2023 season at ATA Lodge, we are proud to share our end of season fishing report from the amazing Alagnak Wild and Scenic River of Bristol Bay, Southwest Alaska!  We had what in many ways may have been our best season overall ever!!  The season went very smoothly over all, and in general the fishing was superb.  Everything seemed a bit late this season, the spawning of the trout in the early season, and some of the salmon runs were late and/or spread out more than normal.  But there was always great things happening and our staff and guests were fantastic!
