They say a picture paints a thousand words!  Well, we say these happy faces tell the story of ATAL!  We have been so blessed with fantastic clients these past weeks since our doors opened!  And they have been creating memories to last a lifetime and thankfully they have been willing to share their "stories" and pictures with us (and now with you) of their time on the Alagnak Wild River while staying at ATA Lodge! As week 3 of July rolled in we started catching King Salmon in good numbers!  These are strong, hard fighting fish that have only been in the river from a few days to a few weeks as they stage to start spawning in August.  ...

We are having a great season on the Wild Alagnak River at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge!  The fishing has been HOT!  The wildlife viewing and photography has been fantastic! We have had an outstanding run of Sockeye Salmon and our clients have been limiting out in a few hours everyday! And despite the big numbers of salmon in the river we are still catching some great rainbows too! It's hard not to just stop and marvel at the beauty of the location. We've Been Slamm'n Salmon for the past week on the Wild Alagnak River.  The Sockeye have been streaming past in their 10's of THOUSANDS!  One day they estimated 300,000 entered the river!  We expect them to keep running strong for the next 2 1/2 weeks!   We've had some great clients coming through our doors and have enjoyed introducing them to this amazing river! It's fun sharing the river with our neighbors, like this beautiful Moose! But with the arrival of the first waves of Sockeye Salmon, the Bears have started to show up and we are seeing Bears every day now chasing after the fresh fish.  But that means that Moose sighting are becoming increasingly rare as they fear...

So its now week two and after a great opening week, week 2 got even better!  Hot Leopard Rainbow Trout action and some amazing wildlife being seen! Moose on the Loose! Beautiful Bows! Who gets tired waking up to a view like this!  A room with a view! Our New "Neighbors"! These two came trotting down the bank toward the lodge, crossed over to the island that creates our natural harbor and then crossed the river right in front of the lodge.  Another picture taken from our front porch!   Even Jessie is feeling right at home!
