The Alaskan Chum (Dog) Salmon is an under-rated adversary with the prolific choice of fish to target on the Alagnak River! When coming in fresh from the ocean, in their thousands on every tide from the end of July through mid August - these scrappy fighters are aggressive and attack a well presented Fly with enthusiasm and fight like the dickens!
It's truly a "Dog Eat Fly World" during that time of the season! We we get a huge run of these powerful Salmon on our river that ensures your rod will be bent all day long during the height of the run!
We have availability during the first part of August if you want to test your strength and stamina against them - or then again maybe your not up to the challenge and would rather just relax at home in front of the telly if you're not "man enough"! ;)
To make things even more interesting, this August Availability falls during the time of the season we are running our 3 for the price of 2 deal when 3 anglers are sharing a cabin and boat/guide! Only $3,330.00 per person!!
