Charles Glatzer's 2020 Alaskan Bear & Salmon Photography Workshop

Alaskan Bears Fighting by Charles Glatzer

Charles Glatzer will hold Alaskan bear and salmon photography workshops at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge July 5th through July 12th, 2020.

A high energy adrenaline rush workshop with outstanding photographic opportunities.

This workshop is for photographers who want to photograph brown bears, and other wildlife in a truly remote wilderness area away from crowds. Our primary goal is to photograph brown bears feeding on salmon within a variety of backgrounds within the Katmai National Park and Preserve.

Accommodations will be provided by Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge.

His dynamic and inspirational teaching style has also made him one of the most sought after educators and speakers in his field. This diverse work experience over his 36 years as a professional photographer provides workshop participants and seminar attendees with an unparalleled resource. Chas' work has been celebrated internationally with over 40 prestigious awards. His images appear in publications worldwide.

Chas has hosted over 100 bear workshops and his extensive knowledge of bear behavior translates into better imagery for the participant. Knowing what to look for ahead of time can often mean the difference in capturing a mediocre image or the image of a lifetime.

Natural behavior can frequently be photographed at close range. Our small group and remote access allow us to make the most of each wildlife encounter. Unlike other facilities and camps, we have the luxury of staying on location for extended periods without the pressure of crowds, away from any man-made structures.

The days are long and photo opportunities are abundant. The guides are outstanding and will make every effort to put you in the right place at the right time. The workshop is timed to coincide with the peak sockeye salmon run, and we look forward to capturing many wonderful images of brown bears chasing and feeding on fish.

Situated on the remote banks of the Wild and Scenic Alagnak River out of Bristol Bay; Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge provides the perfect wilderness setting for photographers who want to photograph brown bears and other wildlife in a truly remote wilderness area away from crowds.
